Smaller crystals melt on contact while large crystals provide longevity and instant traction. This helps prevent snow and ice from bonding to walkway surfaces or becoming hard packed.

Rock salt is effective at temperatures as low as 15º F.

Available in 50-pound bags, Arctic Guard is a natural mineral blend of sodium, magnesium, calcium, potassium, and more than 15 trace minerals, giving the eco-friendly crystals a natural pinkish color. Ideal for use in a walkway or driveway, when applied to ice or snow covered surfaces it goes to work instantly and stays on longer to help prevent refreezing.
